Also, I wouldn't really describe the problem as input lag, it's really more like some kind of negative acceleration combined with smoothing or easing-in or whatever. Well, I tried and v-sync disabled doesn't change a thing, sadly. I'll try disabling v-sync, as you suggest. I don't believe it's possible to change the polling rate with these older mice, however. My mouse is a rather old Logitech G1 but I believe it's still in a pretty decent shape (see above) and that its sensor is quite decent. Both the the commander/binoculars view and the driver views are completely free of it. Also, one more thing I forgot to mention in the OP is that this lagged feel is most obvious only in the 3D above the tank view. I find it hard to believe my mouse is the problem as I don't experience this problem in any other game I play, be it Quake 3 or WoT or WoWS or anything else. Is your mouse and/or the OS (on windows 8/8.1? known issues with mouse acceleration, and negative acceleration is exactly what you're describing).ĭid your mouse come with software to disable acceleration and change the polling rate? if yes, then make sure acceleration is disabled and lower the polling rate. If mouse smoothing is disabled in-game and enhanced pointer precision (which is mouse acceleration, not smoothing they're not the same thing) is disabled in windows then the problem V-sync on can and will cause input lag on mediocre systems. But now I'm trying to get into tanks and mouse look seems like the only reasonably option there and I find this sort of weird smoothing a little bit annoying. I haven't been actually really too worried about it up until now since I've been playing mostly planes so far and I do my looking around using keyboard there, which luckily doesn't have this lagged feel to it. But are there perhaps others finding/feeling the same and not really being fond of this mechanics? And also, have anyone been able to get rid of it? I know there's this "mouse smoothing" option on the first tab in Controls but that one doesn't seem to have an effect at all. Now, I'm not sure if it's something on my end only as I once asked a friend about it and he wasn't able to relate to what I was talking about. The in-game (as in in a battle, not in the menu) mouse response when looking around have always felt a bit strange to me - like slightly delayed behind the movement of my hand and always sort of "easing in" into position even after I stop moving my hand.
